Batteries

To understand anything we need to have proper amount of fundamental knowledge. In a Solar System there are a lot of things that we should know before we go for advance. Like an example what is solar panel , charge controller, inverters etc.We should know how this all work, Let first know how many fundamental elements are there in a Solar System and know how the keyword and terms work.

 

Batteries :

• In off-grid  Solar System the most important part is battery .This is the storage of off-grid solar system.
• To have a efficient back up  power supply for a house hold system we need batteries. As we know Solar System source of energy is the sun and the sun light is not coming 24 hours.The maximum avg. sun hours can be  3~6.7 hour depending on the geographic latitude of a country.
• But this is the most expensive elements in the whole solar system because of its production cost.
• Battery can be many types depending on production material Like VRLB Lead acid batteries (use Lead for electricity generation) & Lithium Ion batteries (use lithium for production) or flow batteries.
• It also shows different  voltages and Ah ratings for different production,like a 2V, 12V, 24V , 48V batteries, but Ah is what we need to watch more because you need to calculate total Wh which is the multiplication of voltage and ampere-hour(Ah).
