Solar Panel

To understand anything we need to have proper amount of fundamental knowledge. In a Solar System there are a lot of things that we should know before we go for advance. Like an example what is solar panel , charge controller, inverters etc.We should know how this all work, Let first know how many fundamental elements are there in a Solar System and know how the keyword and terms work.

Solar panel : 

• Solar Panel is the main part of a Solar System, without it we can't get electricity from Sun light. 
• Solar panel converts the Sun light energy into DC electric energy, later we convert it to AC.

• It is developed by series parallel connection of solar cells.There are three type of solar cells and by which  three kinds of Solar Panels are made i) Mono crystalline ii) Poly Crystalline iii) Thin Films.
• Solar cells are basically represent as a diode, and at normal condition means without solar light it exactly works as a diode. And for a normal diode we know that a threshold voltage is need to apply to run it as a conductor.This is also called Photo-voltaic cells as they are use as photo-detectors where the surface of this cell absorb sun light or artificial light to produce electron-holes. The voltage of this cells vary from (0.55V~0.67V), There are different kinds of solar cells depending on their material is being used.

  

  Crystalline Silicon

•  The total voltage and current of a solar panel depend on how solar cells are connected in the panel. To create high voltage in panel cells are connected in series and  to create high current cells are connected in parallel.For this kind of series parallel connection, we can build different power ratings in solar panels (Alhamdulillah).

•  Solar cells voltage and current are small but using series parallel methods we can increase it but it also increase the size.

• The Solar Panel efficiency mostly depends on its materials and its internal structure, like Mono crystalline is better (5~15)% than Poly Crystalline and Thin Films.

• The Production of Solar panels has many stages like Wiring solar , Structureing, Testing and Packaging.
• Junction Box is added at end of the testing process to finalize the quality.
• But not all Solar panels are in same structure like flexible solar panels are laminated in the structure and build for  more curved places.
