Mounting Types

Solar Mounting  System basically means how to set up your solar panel or panels on the ground or on the roof.The understanding of this process is necessary for solar engineers otherwise it will be difficult for you to set up a good and accomplished solar system.

There are basically two place for solar panels mounting. i) Ground ii) Roof, but actually sometimes it varies for the location, sometime you will see in some places it is on the window of a house or outer layers of a building or infrastructure.

But if we categorized everything we will found following few categories in average.

• Grounded Mounted Systems
• Standing / Round Seam Roof
• Flat Roofs

We are going have brief discussion on everything

• Ground Mounted Systems : This is the grounding technology where solar panels are set up on the ground.There are a lot of way to set solar panel or panels on the ground like A-rack/P-rack, T-Rack , N-Rack.

A-Rack

In this N-Rack & A-Rack system solar panels are placed on rack in a way so it looks like N or A, In the above picture you can see the first picture which mounting looks like N-type and the second picture it looks like A-rack.This systems are proven and static on the ground.

T-Rack/Pole

In this T-Rack system solar panels placed on a mounting system which looks like T-Type, This is also called a pole based solar mounting .

• Standing / Round Seam Roof  : This is one of the roof solar panel mounting system where roof is not plane and hard to install solar panels. 

•

• Flat Roofs

Dome Type

In Flat Solar Mounting Installation there are a lot of variations.
It could be

• Dome Type
• Triangle System
• S-Rock System

There are a lot other mounting systems too but it varies from project to projects. One can build his own solar mounting plans using few tools and woods too, what am I saying it needs observation.
