Electrical machine & House

In our daily life we cannot think living without electrical appliances; it is a part of our life which connects everything in this big social network from human to human. Take a simple example of Mobile which is available at every home .From Mobil to Motor based system like Air Cooler, Washing machine are running with electricity. From the main gate of a house to the kitchen is full of electrical appliances…

But always there will be a question that how much my next month cost me. Please go to this link if you don't know how to calculate Electric Bill.

Now question is which appliance you should buy... Answer is it depends on what you want. Sometime Time is also a parameter when choosing appliance, like 700W Electric Cooker or 1200W Electric cooker. In this case there can be two ways but each way has benefits. First case Electric Bill is lower for 700W <1200W, but amount of food in Liters is better in 1200W>700W.And another case is Time; it takes more time to cook in 1200W Cooker than 700W Cooker which is important because more time more Bill. In this case use 700W Electric Cooker for save both money and time and if you really need more Liters then buy 2 of 700W Cooker that is a little bit costly at the beginning but will save money in the future.

Now if we categorize Electric appliance in house: The main category will be 1) Bed Room 2) Dining 3) Kitchen 4) Bath Room.

Types of Electrical Elements we find in our house:

Fan	Ceiling Fan/Table Fan	10W-75W AC 220V, DC 12V~48V	AC&DC	In a room both are viable option, but Ceiling Fan Consume double power of the Table Fan, so it completely on one’s choice, In my opinion connect a Ceiling Fan but use less in case multiple users ,but if you are living alone than Table fan is the best, they consume half energy. If you have Solar Connection than use DC Fans, those are more Billing friendly.
Computer /Laptop	Desktop Computer/Laptop	40W~150W, AC 85~ 230V , DC 19V~20V	AC &DC	In modern days everything is competitive, you can both buy Laptop or desktop PC, But Laptop generally consume less power than Desktops, and it is also movable.
Room Heater	Induction Coil Room Heater	AC1500W~2000W, AC 220-240V DC 150W-200W DC 12V	AC & DC	In my remark don’t buy this stuff rather buy multiple blankets unless you are living in any cold or northern countries because it will cost you a lot of money. An AC Room Heater Cost around 800~1000Tk alone. But if you access to DC Heater then that could be a choice but unfortunately it is not available everywhere, so do your research if you can buy a DC heater with home DC System or Solar System
Air Cooler	Heating & Cooling	0.75 ton ~ 2Ton AC AC 220V 0.8 ton DC 24~24V DC	AC&DC	This product takes at least 250 Tk for month if you use 2 hours/day with the lowest power rating available. But do your own calculation because it will vary product to product…
Television	CRT /LCD/LED	15W ~ 150W AC 110V~220V AC	AC	Buying a Television get sometime crucial because whether it is CRT or LCD or LED the buying Price almost the same, but LED is the best when it comes the question about billing , LED Consume the lowest Power around 15W~85W depending on screen length where LCD & CRT consume more power. But there is catch and the catch is CRT gives the best contrast than any other type of Television. But it consumes almost 4 times greater than LED. Music System				Better not buying it, No need In Muslim Family. Just buy a small speaker like creative 2.1 for news or media but please don't bother your neighbors.
Washing Machine	Washer /Dryer	400W~900W AC 400W DC	AC&DC	This thing cost a lot of money so be careful before buying it. You can go classic way of washing cloths which is wash it by yourself or give cloths to laundry..
Refrigerator/Freezer	Refrigerator/Freezer	120W~300W AC 220V AC 80W~120W DC 12V~48V DC	AC&DC	This is the most important appliance in every house, so buy it wisely and economically. Don’t buy deep freezer for normal house case because you don’t need that and other way deep freezer consume more power, it 32will cost money. Buy conventional Refrigerators Direct Cool Type, Volume 5.5 cft ~ 18 cft, those consume less power.
Cooker/Oven	Rice Cooker/Induction Cooker/Pressure Cooker/Micro Oven	400W~12000W AC 220V AC 100W~300W 12V~48V	AC&DC	In kitchen it is important that what type of energy source you are using, if you have a fixed gas line in your house than buy a normal pressure cooker for most of the cooking, it will do the curry cooking the best…But if there is no electricity, or the place where you live in the price of gas is costly than you can buy two low wattage of Rice cooker is around 700W, and trust me Rice cooker do most of the cooking nicely, you can also cook curry in it, so buy one for rice or polao cooking and another for curry cooking. And if you are fan of Bakery than you can buy a Micro Oven, but careful it is expensive and it is not that electric bill friendly, use 1 hour a day for Bakery at most, so you don’t need to buy bread and biscuits’ outside. And please don’t buy Induction Cooker, they are just waste of money, they consume a lot of power and it also takes more time to cook. But it has one benefit that other cooker don’t have which is it shape and weight, it is lighter in weight and slim in shape so it is very much portable, and we can carry it anywhere for picnic. \
Blender/Grinder/Mixer/Mincer		300W~500W AC 220V AC 120W DC 12V DC	AC&DC	This is a very important appliance of the kitchen, but remember that we use this for very short time, so you don’t need to worry about electric bill when it comes to Blender…So buy a high power powerful blender costing 3000Tk (most), use it 10~15 minutes every day that will not cost a lot of money. The maximum will charge you 50Tk a month…and if you are more serious about saving money then you can find mixer or grinder which are manual and run with hands….
Tea/Coffee Maker		600W~750W AC 220V AC 150W~300W DC 12V DC	AC&DC	Tea/Coffee maker are high power devices but using it wisely can save electricity, use less in time maximum 15 minutes and save it in flux bottle for rest of the day. And if you have gas line then make tea normally and save it in flask bottle both ways is efficient…
Toaster/ Donut Maker		650W-750W AC 220VAC 120W DC 12V DC	AC&DC	Toaster and Doughnut maker are very important devices for the breakfast lovers, but it is also consume high power, so use every day in disciplined way and calculate yourself how much it is going to pay you, buy a good brand because it will save money.
Iron /Cloth dryer		850W~1800W AC 220V AC	AC	Iron as well as cloth dryer both are expensive devices and consume a lot of power, Less you use or wisely you use that better.
